iPhone and the Wi-Fi Scanner
A Wi-Fi connection on my iPhone getting worse. Sometimes iPhone can’t find any network in close proximity to the router. I thought Android devices works like this, but I literally had to knock the back of iPhone to make it looking for networks. Finally I had to find out a Wi-Fi scanner to make sure if there are some networks available nearby.
Since third party developers have no access to network interfaces, App Store apps aren’t scanners. After a week of struggle offline, I found out Apple’s AirPort Utility for iPhone actually has a real Wi-Fi scanner feature. Not by default, but it can be enabled in Settings:
Now I realized, iPhone 6 (after just two years of use) shows at least 30% worst RSSI (signal level) than a shitty Meizu Android phone 😭
